1935 SIR MALCOLM CAMPBELL, In the 1930s, Rolex and one of the world"s fastest racers, Sir Malcolm Campbell, teamed up for a speed test. On September 4, 1935, the “King of Speed” drove the Bluebird while wearing a Rolex watch. Set a land speed record of over 300 mph (approximately 485 km/h) at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. Sir Malcolm broke nine world speed records between 1924 and 1935, including five races. On Daytona Beach in Florida
